From 28th June 2015 to the 5th of July the LIFEGENMON project team and other visible experts on forest genetics embarked on a travel through Southeastern Europe that took us from FYR Macedonia through Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia and Hungary and concluded with a meeting in Slovenia. The aim of the 2nd LIFEGENMON Transect Drive was to get a good overview of forest genetic properties of the Southeastern Europe. During the course of the drive we visited regional and national parks, exceptional forest stands, biodiversity hotspots and other locations that are important for achieving our project’s goals.
