The film Krokar Virgin Forest presents the largest old-growth forest reserve in Slovenia – the Krokar virgin forest on Borovška gora. In 2017 it was declared as an UNESCO natural heritage site. Forest genetic research has shown that this forest is one of the extremely rare glacial refugia of European beech.

As part of the LIFEGENMON project, Slovenian forestry institute in colaboration with ZGS and Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning adapted and translated the movie into english and gained the rights for screening of the movie Krokar Virgin Forest. Until further notice the movie will be available here and on the official ZGS youtube channel.

The movie is also available in its original language (slovenian) on the official ZGS youtube channel
