On Thurdsay, 5^th of March 2015, the 2^nd LIFEGENMON Advisory board meeting took place in Thessaloniki, Greece. The audience consisted of honorary guests, the Members of the LIFEGENMON Technical Board and Advisory Board and others.

The meeting was opened by the Project Coordinator, prof. dr. Hojka Kraigher and the local organiser, prof. dr. Filippos A. Aravanopoulos. Salutations and welcome speeches were also given by dr. Nikitas Fragiskakis (General Secretary of the Macedonia-Thrace region) and by prof. dr. Dimitrios Koveos (the Dean of Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Environment, AUTH).

In the beginning of the meeting there was a brief report of the regional kick-off meeting and the external monitoring team visit by the Project manager, Tjaša Baloh. In the rest of the morning session financial reports, the Inception report, deliverables of the project and dissemination tools were discussed in detail and several decisions were made. After short presentations of all project partners by the beneficiary leaders, the criteria and indicators of choosing forest genetic monitoring plots were analyzed and the expert opinions of Advisory board members were considered

Finally, all project actions were presented and a general discussion took place. The Advisory board meeting was successfuly closed and lists of important decisions were made.
