On Wednesday, 22nd of March 2015, a media conference was held at the Slovenian Forestry Institute’s big lecture hall. The press conference was held in collaboration with Slovenia Forest Service, Slovenian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food and the Biotechnical Faculty of University of Ljubljana, department of Forestry. Over 10 members of the media were present at the press conference. The press conference was the first official presentation of the LIFEGENMON project to national media. The project was presented by Dr. Primož Simončič (SFI) and Damjan Oražem (SFS). Three news items were published immediately after the event. LIFEGENMON promotional materials were given to journalists at the event.
