The LIFEGENMON project team and other visible experts on forest genetics from our project area will travel through Balkan and Central European countries. On Sunday, 28th of June, we are going to meet in Skopje and then embark on a trip that will take us from FYR Macedonia through Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia and Hungary and will conclude with a meeting in Slovenia.

The aim of the 2nd LIFEGENMON Transect Drive is to get a good overview of the forest genetic properties of the Balkans and Central Europe. During the course of the drive we are going to visit regional and national parks, biodiversity hotspots and other locations that are important for achieving our project’s goals.

Even though there are not enough seats in the vans for everybody that would like to participate, that doesn’t mean that you cannot take a part in our story. Team members will try their hardest to bring Balkanese and Central European forests closer to you.
