This year the 81st Thessaloniki International Fair took place.

There, somewhere between kiosk no 13 and kiosk no.8 is the kiosk of the Greek Forest Services. It was a unique opportunity for the LIFEGENMON team to join the staff of the Forest Service and introduce to them as well as the public the LIFEGENMON project and inform them about the necessity of genetic monitoring and its implementation into conservation programs and sustainable forest management. In total than 500 leaflets, newsletters and dissemination materials were distributed.

People stopped to talk with us and express their concerns regarding the future of forests.
