LIFEGENMON Website Renovations and Portal Establishing Activities
Dear lifegenmon.si user,
In the last few months we have been slowly modifying the LIFEGENMON website in order to make it more interesting, approachable and informative together with our web developers. While the process isn’t over yet, we are already proud of the parts that are finished. The website’s main new features are: the What’s new? column on the home page, where you can access and easily monitor the project news, the site’s connectivity with social networks (they are listed in several views) and the LIFEGENMON E-news, where we will periodically provide with project news if you sign up.
In the near future our dissemination team will focus on content and continuously update the website with relevant and interesting news, blogs, materials, downloads etc. We have a multitude of events planned for April, May and June 2016 – please join us, and if you can’t, join the conversation via our profiles on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

But the website renovation is only the first step. The release of LIFEGENMON Portal is scheduled for the summer of 2017. The portal will present valuable information on the topics of forests, forestry, biodiversity, forest genetic monitoring and environmental change in a way that is suitable for our target audiences. We are currently conducting the LIFEGENMON portal establishing workshops to find out what information is useful for/desired by our stakeholders. In March and April 2016 we have already conducted two workshops with foresters from Slovenia Forest Service and IFSA forestry students and found out what type of content they would find useful. We are going to organize more of these workshops for foresters, teachers and NGOs in the near future.
